Why Tone?

I'm a convert. I didn't used to tone and now I can't go without and here is why…

Liquid~Moon toners are made with organic hydrosols (the by product of making steam-distilled essential oils). Sometimes called flower waters, hydrosols smell heavenly and while far less concentrated than essential oils, they still provide the therapeutic and aroma-therapy benefits  of the oils.

Additionally, Liquid~Moon toners contain:
organic witch hazel which acts as a gentle astringent to firm and lift the skin, vodka which refreshes the skin and preserves the toner, organic glycerin and organic aloe vera gel which as humectants provide moisture for the skin, essential oils to enhance the scent and the therapeutic properties. Overall, toning helps to balance the pH of your skin and aids with the protective barrier function as it tightens pores to keep the bad stuff out.

So, Liquid~Moon toners have lots to offer! The simplicity and purity of the ingredients combined with the right balance of astringency and moistening and of course the heavenly scents make toning one of my favorite skincare steps!

When To Tone:

After washing or rinsing your face spray toner directly onto your face or into the palm of your hand and pat on. The latter method will likely get more onto your skin and conserve product. Additionally, toners may be used throughout the day to simply refresh your skin and mood! When using my face serums, I add a couple of spritzes of toner to 4-5 drops of serum in the palm of my hand, rub my palms vigorously to create a hand emulsion, and pat onto my face and décolletage. Likewise, if a creme or facial butter is feeling a little too thick to spread easily (the consistency of butters can fluctuate with the temperature), I’ll use some toner to thin it.

I hope this helps you understand the value and methods of of using a toner.
